Eddie's broad shoulders

Celebrating

Weddings are a big part of what I do – but not all. If you want to know more about me, check my about page.

As a celebrant, I will be there for you throughout the whole journey to the aisle. I’ll guide you through the legal bits and work with you for the illegal ones – I mean, the non-legally binding ones.

Check the questions below and drop me a line so we can chat and create, together, the best day of your life.

What’s your experience
as a marriage celebrant?

As of August 2025, 390 celebrations among weddings, commitment ceremonies, funerals and other types. I learn a little bit more after every wedding and I know that the measure of my ceremonies is the smile on my couples’ faces.

How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?

It depends so much of the season, if they want it on a Saturday or on a weekday, if there is travel involved…

If a couple wants a Saturday in one of the peak wedding months (Feb ’til May, Sep ’til November), I would say 6 to 12 months ahead would be the safer window. But I always strive to accommodate their needs and, if I can help, I will.

How would you describe
your ceremony style?

Fun.

I believe the ceremony is the start of the party and, if you’re not having fun at your party, we’re doing it wrong.

I don’t know what classifies as ‘fun’ for each couple, but I know that I want them to have a ear-to-ear smile from the minute they arrive at the aisle to the very last second of their reception.

What are your fees for a wedding?

Prices can be tricky. The thing is – my pricing isn’t set in stone. I believe every couple is different, every story is different so every wedding should be different too. Without knowing about their wedding plans, goals and dreams, it’s hard for me to put a price on my part, so I always try to chat with the couples first to see if we’re the right fit and so I can gauge how I can help and how much work will be involved.

I’m not the most expensive guy out there so, for me, it’s always about how much you value you ceremony and the connection we have during the whole process.

What do you wear for a wedding?

Usually clothes, but there are exceptions ๐Ÿ˜›

It depends on each couple. It’s not about me, so I try to blend, follow the colour scheme without looking like I’m part of the Wedding Party. I worn regular suits, shorts, a Darth Vader attire, an approved Federation of Planets uniform, a flamingo suit, dressed as a medieval priest, leather jackets, you name it. But, unless told otherwise, I will always be wearing nice colourful Converse Chuck Taylors (hopefully with a matching tie).

How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?

As many as we feel like having. I always like to sit with my couples at least once for a meal so we can just chat and get to actually know each other better, but if they feel we need more, they get it. The important thing is, for me, that the couple feels comfortable during the whole process. You can’t have fun if you’re feeling stressed so I try to be there for them as much (or, sometimes, as little) as they need me.

Will you be able to create
a personalised ceremony?

That’s the ONLY way to go with me. Every story is different, every couple is different, so it wouldn’t make sense to me to have a cookie-cutter ceremony and just replace their names.

I strive to tell the couple’s story in a way they never heard before – even it’s by accent alone ๐Ÿ˜›

Are you available to travel if needed?

Indeed I am. I am based in Perth WA, but I have done weddings in Victoria, South Australia and beyond. I have done Commitment Ceremonies in New Zealand and I recently did wedding in Brazil in July 2025. As long as I can get back on time for my next wedding, I am always happy to go wherever my couples need me.
